Jeff & Lisa Lawlor Benefit

The Jeff & Lisa Lawlor Benefit has been set up to assist Jeff & Lisa and their family to purchase a wheel chair accessible vehicle.

A group of the Lawlor’s Inverell friends have banned together and are organising a series of fund raisers and online auctions over the next 3 months culminating in a finale at the Inverell Rugby Club on June 18th 2016.

The idea for this fundraiser was prompted by a post by Jeff & Lisa’s daughter Renee to the Today show’s Block of Cash promotion. Renee’s post received a phenomenal amount of likes and shares and this inspired us to launch our own fundraiser for the Lawlor’s.

The Lawlor’s are a well-known and respected family in the Inverell community and have been active members of many groups and sporting organisations over many years. This vehicle will allow a better quality of life as well as enable them to more easily attend medical appointments locally and in Sydney.

We hope the great community of Inverell & the people from far & wide who really know this great family will get behind this worthwhile cause to support this well liked local family.

How it all began

This is the heart moving post that Jeff & Lisa's daughter Renee sent to the Today shows block of cash that prompted this fund raiser.

Hi today show. I would like to nominate my parents for the knock of cash. My dad has been diagnosed with body myopathy with padgets and dementia and is unable to walk or roll over in bed as his muscles dont work anymore. My mum is his full time carer aswell as works 3-4 days a week.
For years they have been travelling to and from sydney with my 16 year old brother who has cerebral palsy and she desperately needs a van so she can take my father with her as at the moment they struggle to get him in and out of his wheelchair and the car.
My mum and dad have worked hard all their lives to raise my 2 brothers and myself and when my dad got ill he hated the thought of giving up work but eventually had to.
My mum is a superwomen and juggles all the travelling to medical appointements for my dad and brother plus working, caring for them and running the household and not once have i heard her complain in all those years.
They deserve the world with everything they've been through so please consider my nomination.
